South Adelaide surged into second place on the AAMI Talent League Boys ladder with a powerful 52-point win against North Adelaide at Revo Fitness Oval.

Suddenly level with reigning premier Sturt on a 4-3 win-loss record, the Panthers led at every change as they racked up a commanding 48-32 inside 50 count while dominating overall possession.

Dynamic blue-and-white duo Hudson Boal (31 disposals) and Cain Florance (29 disposals, three goals) again did plenty of damage while Cooper Knowles hit the scoreboard with five goals and seven marks.

North’s Blake Amos (22 disposals), Henley Smith (four goals) and Jackson Penney (three goals) did their best to keep the Roosters in the contest.

Central District kept itself in touch with the top four by easily accounting for ladder-leading Sturt by 52 points at Thomas Farms Oval.

Leading by 14 points at quarter-time, the Bulldogs extended their lead at every break as Charlie Moss (five goals) and Brayden Whimpress (four goals) piled on the scoreboard pressure.

Callan Semmler (13 disposals and 48 hit outs) controlled the ruck for the visitors while Jake Eime (21 disposals, two goals) was also influential for the Dogs.

Sturt listed Jax Heading (14 disposals), Will Ekberg (18 disposals) and Lachie Werts (17 disposals, two goals) as its best performers.

Norwood held on for a thrilling five-point victory against a persistent West Adelaide at The Parade.

The Legs appeared set for a comfortable win when they established an early 26-point lead but the Bloods drew level by the final change.

Riley Pugsley put the hosts up by 12 points late in the last term before West’s Josh Bell brought the margin under a goal but it wasn’t to be for the visitors as Norwood clung on.

Tarkyn Grigg, Eddie Sorensen (26 disposals) and Masen Jones (20 disposals, three goals) played well for Norwood while Jackson Muller, Calvin Jones (19 disposals) and Anthony Long (18 disposals) were lauded by West officials.

Woodville-West Torrens made the most of Glenelg’s terrible inaccuracy to chalk up a 17-point win at Stratarama Stadium.

Trailing at the first two changes, the Eagles made their move with a six-goal third term as the Bays hamstrung themselves by booting a total of 8.20 (68) for the match.

Eagles coaches hailed the efforts of Noah Ah Chee (22 disposals), Michael Daly and Jack Leys (24 disposals, two goals) in constructing the victory.

Glenelg’s Harvey Croker (33 disposals) and Kobe Gibson (29 disposals, one goal) found plenty of the Sherrin but didn’t receive enough support to help their side across the line.
