ABOUT WEST ADELAIDE FOOTBALL CLUB

The West Adelaide Football Club is one of ten teams competing in the SANFL. Based in the inner western suburb of Richmond, the club is represented by male and female teams from Under 13s through to Seniors.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Talent & Development Manager is responsible for implementing high quality development programs for junior footballers to progress through to the West Adelaide Football Club’s Centre of Excellence. The role encompasses the identification and development of both male and female players from the local community and affiliated country regions. Strong relationships with a broad range of stakeholders will be an integral component of success in this role. Other key aspects of the role are;

  • Management of the WAFC Elite Development Program for Under 13, 14 and 15 teams
  • Liaison with SANFL regarding the Under 15 & Under 17 Intrastate championships
  • List management of the Centre of Excellence and Elite Development Programs
  • Ongoing communication with community club stakeholders in affiliated metropolitan and country football clubs

Ideally you can demonstrate previous experience in the following skills and attributes:

  • Ability to plan, organise and manage time efficiently
  • Attention to detail
  • The ability to work autonomously or as part of a team
  • Adaptability to changing demands and environments
  • High level of initiative
  • Goal oriented approach
  • Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure and be a positive representative of the West Adelaide Football Club
