Senior Men’s List Update

Aaron Anderson

The club wishes to inform members, supporters, staff and players that long serving player Aaron Anderson has called time on his SANFL career. Aaron is what you call a true ‘Club Man’, arriving in 2008 playing in our Under 17’s. Ando has committed his heart and soul into the football club that has seen him rise from playing 49 junior games to 88 reserves games and 72 league appearances. An incredible 209 games for the West Adelaide Football Club and we can’t praise him enough for his hard work and dedication as a player, a leader and most of all, a wonderful person. This was an incredibly tough decision for Ando, as he loves the Club so much but unfortunately this year his body just let him down too much.

The club will miss all of the Anderson Family as they have been an integral part of our club for such a long time. We wish Ando & Laura all the best with the next phase of their lives.

Riley Corbett

We are very pleased to announce the signing of Riley Corbett. Recruited from Ganmain in the Riverina Football League, Riley is an athletic power forward who will add much needed fire power and strength to our forward line. Standing 196cm and 105kg, Riley was a member of the GWS Academy and then moved onto the NEAFL where he played with the Canberra Demons. On signing with The Bloods Riley commented – “I’m excited to be able to be apart of an exciting young group, I’m looking forward to taking this club off the bottom and pushing hard to play finals in 2022. This is something similar to the journey I had at Ganmain.” When asked to describe his playing style Riley said “Im a player that brings a contest and physical brand of football, as a key forward I just love crashing packs, kicking goals and flying for the footy”. We welcome Riley and his family to West Adelaide.
