West Adelaide Unveils 2026 First Nations Round Guernsey

The West Adelaide Football Club and the Redtails Pinktails Right Tracks Foundation proudly unveil the 2026 First Nations Round guernsey, featuring original artwork by Jerry Pepperill.

“Tracks of Unity, Strength, and Shared Responsibility”

The artwork, created by Jerry Pepperill, a proud participant of the Redtails Pinktails Right Tracks Program, represents the living spirit of a new partnership between the Redtails Pinktails Right Tracks Foundation and the West Adelaide Football Club.

It is more than a guernsey design, it is a visual blueprint of who we are, what we stand for, and the future we are building together.

At the centre of the artwork are circles of connection. These circles represent our communities, our families, our clubs, and the organisations that stand with us. They are the places where young people gather, learn, heal, and grow. Each circle is a reminder that no one succeeds alone, strength comes from standing together. The SANFL/W along with the partner clubs are central to this.

Flowing between these circles are the Right Tracks, the journeys our young people walk as they grow into strong, capable leaders. These pathways reflect the 7 Pillars that define the Redtails Pinktails Right Tracks Standards & Vision

7 pillars (soon to be 8 pillars) Blueprint:

  • Hard Work – every step earned, nothing given
  • Patience – trusting the slow build before the breakthrough
  • Sacrifice – choosing long‑term goals over short‑term comfort
  • Consistency – showing up again and again until excellence becomes normal
  • Discipline – doing the work even when motivation fades
  • Self‑Confidence – believing in your path even when others don’t
  • Positive Attitude – choosing the mindset that lifts you and those around you.
  • The eight Pillar to be confirmed by our peers.

These tracks weave, bend, and intersect, just like real life. They show that growth is not linear. It is shaped by choices, challenges, mentors, and moments of courage. And soon, a new 8th Pillar will join them, created with the voices and ideas of the young people who walk these tracks every day.

The central meeting places in the artwork represent the partnership between the Redtails Pinktails Right Tracks Foundation and the West Adelaide Football Club. Two organisations, two histories, two communities, now connected by shared purpose. This partnership is not symbolic; it is practical, lived, and built on the belief that opportunity grows when we walk together.

Surrounding the pathways are the outer rings, representing the role of the public and private enterprise. They are not placed above the community, but alongside, connected, accountable, and part of the responsibility. The artwork makes a clear statement:

Bridging the gap is everyone’s responsibility, this is a challenge to all our participants including our First Nations peers, our partners, our supporters, and every level of leadership.

The movement of the design reflects unity, healing, accountability, and unwavering support. It shows that when clubs, communities, governments, and organisations work together, the tracks become stronger, the circles grow wider, and the opportunities for young people multiply.

This guernsey is not just worn, it is carried.

It is a commitment to the 7 (soon to be 8) Pillars.

A commitment to each other.

A commitment to walking the Right Tracks with pride, purpose, and unity.

This is the Redtails Pinktails Right Tracks way.

This is the partnership.

This is the story Jerry has painted into every line, dot, and pathway.
