Paul Streatfield appointed Head of Football and Talent

The West Adelaide Football Club would like to congratulate Paul Streatfield on his appointment as Head of Football and Talent.

Paul is well known and respected at WAFC. Prior to this new role he was Talent Manager from 2019-2022 as well as the U18 boys coach from 2018-2022.

From 2011 – 2015 Paul worked for the SANFL as a Development Coordinator and was involved with Norwood Football Club from 2012 – 2017 as a Development Coach.

Paul is highly regarded for his ability to develop junior talent, excellent administration skills and ability to connect with players.

“I feel extremely honoured to be leading our football department forward and am excited about what the future holds for us as a club” said Paul.

“Having worked closely with our young talent coming through, I know we are well positioned for sustained success in the not too distant future across both our mens and womens programs”.

“We have some work to do and there will be ups and downs, but we have the right people here working as hard as possible to turn things around”.

“We will announce further changes to our re-structured football department in the coming weeks, including the appointment of a new Talent Manager and U18 Boys Coach”.

West Adelaide CEO, Conny Wilson would also like to acknowledge the recent appointment of Wayne Siekman to the AFL Cairns Munduna Hawks Club as their Senior Coach and Football Manager. ‘While we are constantly striving for our players to reach their highest potential, we are also proud to see our staff develop and take on new and exciting challenges. Wayne’s contribution to the Club has been significant and we wish him and his family all the best as they embark on this exciting journey. Paul is the perfect fit for this expanded role at West Adelaide and will continue to grow the legacy that Wayne has created in the Football operations space. We thank Wayne for his commitment and service, and we are also extremely pleased to have secured Paul Streatfield who demonstrates the professionalism, integrity and passion needed to progress our young players through the Program. To have secured someone of Paul’s calibre is testament to the belief he has in taking the Club to the next level’.
