Dr Jones and Partners Injury Report

Sponsored by Dr Jones and Partners

During our clash with Sturt, Jack Evans unfortunately injured his knee and will be out for the remainder of the season. In the reserves, Tom Pillion also has suffered a knee injury and won’t be available to play against Central District. Big bodied forward Lyndon Hupfeld has a hamstring injury and is not available for selection.

This news comes after we have lost regular league players Brett Turner, Jono Beech and Josh Schiller to season ending injuries, as well as John Noble and Will Snelling to the mid-season draft causing our depth to be tested.

Our large injury list provides us with the opportunity to blood some under 18s in the senior side. Last week we had five regular under 18s players play in the reserves and 17 year old Riley Thilthorpe played his second league game.

Riley turns 18 next year and therefore is only eligible to be drafted at the end of the 2020 season. He kicked three goals against Sturt and was in our best players.

Our under 18 side is likely to see three under 16s make their debut for the under 18s with multiple changes in all grades.
