The West Adelaide Football Club is very excited to announce the signing of Rhys Nicholls for 2023.
Rhys has been on the Gold Coast Suns AFL list the past two seasons after being drafted playing for Labrador in the QAFL.
Rhys has a lot of strong attributes which includes elite speed, elite skills, intercept marking, aerobic endurance and strong 1v1.
Rhys arrives in Adelaide next week in preparation for start of pre season training.

What are you looking forward to the most when joining West Adelaide?
“I’m really looking forward to arriving in Adelaide. Meeting everyone and getting to work with my team mates”.
What are your thoughts on playing under new senior coach Adam Hartlett?
“After speaking to Adam l was impressed with the passion and excitement that he spoke about, that lies ahead for the coming season”
What skills / attributes will you look to bring to the West Adelaide Football Club?
“I’m looking to bring my energy on and off the field, along with my run and carry taking the game on”
Which AFL player do you model your game off?
“I like to model my game off Brayden Maynard because he’s hard at the contest, runs and carries and is also a left footer”
Who inspires you?
“My family are my biggest supporters and help me with everything that they can to make me succeed as a person and a player”
