Come celebrate Easter by coming down to City Mazda Stadium for West Adelaide’s next home game against Woodville West Torrens on Good Friday.

This round 4 match will be the ‘Western Rivals Round’ with the winning team taking home the bragging rights. The Western Rivals will have a Wild West theme with the match commencing at 2:10pm on Friday the 19th and is assured to be a day full of fun, excitement and great footy.

The game will be sponsored by West Adelaide’s oval naming rights partner City Mazda as well as co-sponsored by the Eagles naming rights sponsor Maughan Thiem Kia. Thanks to these amazing sponsors for all their support as they have pledged to give $2,500 to the victorious team. The repeat will occur in round 10 when we face off with the Eagles in the sequel to the Western Rivalry at their home ground.

West Adelaide have always had a great relationship with Woodville West Torrens but a fierce rivalry when they meet on the field highlighted in our 2015 Grand Final success. Throughout the day there will be a whole host of festivities such as,

  • A pre-match lunch held at the Westies function room, with a guest speaker TBC
  • The Kids Zone with a 20 x 4 meter jumping castle obstacle course and balloon artist bound to keep the kids happy
  • Check out our Saloon Bar located on the deck bar area. There is no better place to watch the match than from the Saloon Bar where you are guaranteed to feel like you are back in Western times
  • Don’t be the one who draws the short straw. 5 members will be randomly selected from the game to go in with the chance of winning 3 Hisense TV and Westies Bar & Bistro vouchers with more details to announced
  • If you jump onto Instagram, you will receive behind the scenes footage as the players get prepared and warm up with injured player Hugh Haysmans with Haysmans Handover. And lastly,
  • The opportunity to witness the Western Rivalry and the Bloods in their second home game of the year beginning at 2:10pm
  • Stay on after for the women’s match at 4:45pm
