West Adelaide welcomes Josh Gore

In another exciting signing for the West Adelaide Football Club, we welcome speedy small forward Josh Gore.

The 19 year old has been in the Gold Coast Sun’s Academy from 2012-2020 and played representative football for the NEAFL and Allies.

Known for his strong left foot and goal sense, Josh was unlucky to miss out on being drafted after training with the Suns senior team and attending the state combine.

Football manager Wayne Siekman spoke about Josh saying, “As disappointing as it was not to see Josh’s named get read out on draft night, we are delighted that he has signed with the club.”

“He is a quality young man with some massive X factor which will no doubt excite the members and supporters in 2021.”

“His ability to find space and hit the scoreboard is of the highest order and will create headaches for opposition small defenders.”

Describing himself as having a team first mentality who is very motivated, Josh said, “I pride myself on creating opportunities by strong pressure in the forward line and most importantly converting those chances into goals.”

Josh was keen to get started at the club and said, “I believe the players staying put from last year, and the recent additions over the past couple of months creates an exciting team and one I’m very keen to be a part of.”

Welcome to the Bloods Josh!
