Vale Trevor Barker

The West Adelaide Football Club & Past Players & Officials are saddened to announce the passing of 1961 Premiership player & Life Member Trevor Barker.

Trevor came to us from Goodwood in the Amateur League and made his Debut for us on May 30th 1959, spending 6 senior years at West Adelaide from 1959 to 1964.

Trevor played a total of 105 league games. 8 Advertiser and 1 State game in 1960. Also kicked a total of 38 goals.

He was a very dashing player who cemented a place in the league side, either at full back or in the ruck.

He was awarded life membership in 1964 and in 1965 he won the Mail Medal in the Great Southern League.

Throughout the 80’s Trevor was a great help to the Past Players & Officials assisting at many of their events.

Our thoughts are with the Barker Family and Friends.
