Vale Ron Benton – Funeral Information

The Family and Friends of the Late Mr Ronald Benton are invited to attend his Funeral Mass to be held Entirely in the Mater Christi Catholic Church

413 Grange Road, Seaton

on Monday August 26, 2019 commencing at 10:00am

Condolences will be received at the Church

A donation in the memory of Ron to SA Ambulance or Heart Foundation would be appreciated Envelopes will be available at the Church.

The West Adelaide Football Club & Past Players & Officials would like to convey their condolences to the family of Ron Benton with his sad passing. 

Ron made his debut on the 14^th of May 1955 & went onto win the 1957 Magarey medal & was West Adelaide Club Champion that same year.
In 1961 he played a very important part of our Premiership season.
1962 he was awarded life membership & 1963 saw him as West Adelaide leading goal kicker.
An inaugural member of our 2005 Hall of Fame, he will always be remembered over the course of his 184 games, 198 goal league career between 1955 and 1959 and from 1961 to 1965 – a true champion of the game.
He achieved virtually everything the game had to offer.
Our thoughts & prayers are very much with the entire Benton family.
