Vale Helen Wright

The West Adelaide Football Club & Past Players & Officials are sad to announce the passing of Helen Wright.

Helen, the wife of former president of the Past Players & Officials Jimmy, was an integral part of our social club and worked quietly in the
background to make the Past Players & Officials highly respected throughout the SANFL.

You would always find Helen the week before our home games, cleaning and dusting the old Past Players room. Which back then was located in the
middle of the club’s carpark.

On match days Helen would serve party pies & refreshments to all who visited the rooms at half time and after the match.

She was also a constant companion of Jimmy at our meetings and Past Players & Officials functions.

Helen was an amazing woman who supported her husband without recognition but surely deserved the highest accolades.

She will always be remembered for her great volunteer work at the West Adelaide Football Club and support of the
Past Players & Officials.

Our thoughts are with the Wright family & friends at this sad time.
