Vale Brian Edwin Fairclough

The West Adelaide Football Club & Past Players & Officials are sad to announce the passing of Brian Fairclough.

Brian passed away peacefully on May 14th, 2024, aged 88.

Brian first joined West Adelaide in 1985 as assistant coach to Jack Cahill and stayed with us during Jack’s tenure.

Before and after WAFC, Brian gave many years of service to the Port Adelaide Football Club which are well documented.

Below you will find a beautiful description of Brian’s tremendous service to the Magpies.

He shared his wisdom and knowledge willingly to all players at West Adelaide, many who went onto bigger things, not only in football but life in general.

Our thoughts are with the Fairclough family and friends during this sad time.
