UPDATE – NOTICE OF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETINGS AND ELECTIONS

WEST ADELAIDE FOOTBALL CLUB INC. and WEST ADELAIDE FOOTBALLERS CLUB INC.

This update refers to the previous notice issued on 21^st December 2021. Please note that the Annual General Meetings of members of the West Adelaide Football Club Inc. and the West Adelaide Footballers Club Inc. (“the Clubs”) will be held at the Sturt Pea Room, West Adelaide Football Club, 57 Milner Road, Richmond SA 5033 on Wednesday 9^th February 2022 immediately following the Special General Meetings to be held at 6:30 pm. The Annual General Meetings will be held for the purpose of:

• Presentation of the Annual Reports and Audited Financial Statements.
• Appointment of the Auditor.
• Appointment of Club Patron.
• Confirmation of Life Members.
• Appointment of Board Members
  • One (1) Member-elected Director
  • Two (2) Nominations Committee Directors

Member-elected Director

The Board is pleased to announce that Marteine Edwards will commence a further two year term as Membership Director. As the sole nominee in the recent call for candidates for a member-elected Director, Marteine will be declared duly elected at the Annual General Meeting.

Nominations Committee Directors

The Board can now announce that the Director candidates recommended by the Nominations Committee and approved by the Board are Murray Forbes (President) and Mark Goddard (Finance Director). Murray will commence a further three year term and Mark will commence a two year term at the conclusion of the Annual General Meeting. This ensures that the rotation of these two positions will not occur in the same year in the future, as prescribed in the Constitutions of the clubs. The two year term of the Finance Director should have been implemented at last year’s Annual General Meeting but was overlooked. This will now be corrected at this year’s AGM.

Proxy

If you are a member and wish to vote on the resolutions at the AGM’s you should either:

• attend in person, or
• appoint a proxy to attend and vote on your behalf.

You may request a form of proxy by emailing the club. (Note: a proxy form must be lodged no less than 48 hours prior to the commencement of the meeting in order to be valid).

Covid-19 Restrictions

Current Covid-19 restrictions and limited seating mean that it is essential for you to register your attendance at the Special General Meetings and the Annual General Meetings. Contact the club on 8352 4022 or at reception@westadelaidefc.com.au to secure your place. We cannot guarantee a seat for those who do not register. You will be required to show your vaccination status to attend in person. The club will shortly publish a zoom link and password for members who wish to attend on-line.
