Two Bloods make AFL debut

In one weekend West Adelaide will have two players making their AFL debut.

Izak Rankine (Gold Coast) and Will Day (Hawthorn) were both selected to play their first games of AFL football.

Rankine was selected in the 2018 draft at pick number three but only managed to play three NEAFL games in 2019. He suffered a serious hamstring injury followed by a hip complaint. The West Adelaide Football Club wishes Izak all the best in his AFL career.

Will Day will also make his debut for Hawthorn after being selected at pick 13 in the 2019 AFL draft. The skill full rebounding defender has great athleticism and footy smarts and we wish him all the best for his debut.
