It is with regret and surprise that the West Adelaide Football Club is announcing Hamish Hartlett’s departure to take up a full time role with the Port Adelaide Football Club as a Development Coach.
Hamish has been with the club for 12 months, both as a player and Youth Development Manager. Having won the Neil Kerley Medal at last nights’ Best & Fairest, Hartlett made the announcement to his teammates that he won’t be continuing in 2023. “The past 12 months at the West Adelaide Football Club has been incredibly enjoyable from both a football and employment perspective. This is the club that afforded me the opportunity to fulfil my childhood dream which l will be forever grateful for, and l am proud to have been able to return and wear the Bloods guernsey again for the 2022 season”
CEO Conny Wilson while naturally disappointed, wishes Hamish the very best as he embarks on this next stage of his professional development. “Hamish has been a great leader both on and off the field, and his impact, particularly with junior development has been valuable. On behalf of the Board, Staff, Players and Members we thank Hamish for his service to the Club”.
