Keough’s 100 League Game Milestone

This week we congratulate our captain, Tom Keough on 100 West Adelaide league games.

Originating from Pinnaroo, Tom has come up through our junior program to become one of the best defenders in the league. Tom won the 2015 Fos Williams medal in the West End State Game and was a part of the 2015 Premiership.

He was then drafted to the Gold Coast Suns in 2015 and played 14 games in the NEAFL before returning back home for the 2017 season. His leadership and commitment to the club was evident and he was named as captain at the start of the 2018 season.

Tom’s ability to play any position was clear when the premiership defender came third in the 2018 WAFC best and fairest playing predominantly in the midfield.

Senior coach Gavin Colville praised the skipper, saying “I am very proud to be sharing Tom’s 100th game as his coach. He is a captain who gives his all and asks for little in return. The type you always want in your side.”

We wish Tom all the best in his 100th game, and can’t wait for the next 100.

We will have presentations an hour post game where we will acknowledge Tom on his 100 games. We will also acknowledge Jono Beech on his 150th WAFC league game last week (182 league games total). All members and supporters are welcome. Westies Bar and Bistro will be open for meals.
