Congratulations to Isaac Johnson who has become the 31st player to captain the West Adelaide Football Club.
Isaac will take over from Kaiden Brand who unfortunately only had 1 year in the role but will work closely with Isaac, guiding him every step of the way along with the leadership group which will be announced in coming weeks.
It’s been quite a journey for IJ that’s been full of ups and downs from winning the Neil Kerley Medal in 2020 to missing a full season due to a leg injury in 2022.
Isaac performed strongly in the role last season covering for Kaiden, making him an ideal candidate to become the next captain.
A popular person at the club, a lot of cheers were made when Paul Streatfield (Head of Football) announced the appointment prior to training.
Great achievement Isaac, you should be very proud.
