CEO Message to Members and Supporters

Dear Members and Supporters,

What an “off-season” it has been… most would be aware of the significant changes the club has undergone off the field. From Friday night we will finally have all our teams running around representing this fantastic football club. Up until now, our SANFLW team and Under 16s have been flying the flag for us and it has been fantastic to see some wins notched up for both teams. We hope the SANFLW team can step back into the winner’s circle on Saturday against Sturt. The Under 16s have had some strong performances so far and they also come up against Sturt on the weekend, best of luck to Michael and his team for another strong performance.

For our men’s team, it all starts on Friday with a 7:20pm bounce and a battle with the Magpies for Round 1 honours.

There has been much written about the recruits who have joined us at Richmond since our 2018 campaign ended, and we’re all looking forward to seeing them run around for the first time in red and black. But it would be remiss of us to not look further down the list and see the experience of Tom Keough, Jono Beech, Mason Middleton and Logan Hill. While the new recruits might have had the limelight, our loyal club servants have toiled through another long and hard pre-season and can’t wait to take the field on Friday night. I look forward to seeing it all unfold and hope to see as many members and supporters here as possible to kick our year off in the right fashion.

All of the changes and challenges faced by the club since 2018 concluded can be put behind us, and we can move forward, united, towards a new year and all the opportunities that it brings.
