Cade Kennedy to lead our under 18s in 2021

Following their pre-season camp in the Riverland on the weekend, our Under-18 Centre of Excellence Team have confirmed their leadership group for the 2021 season.

After playing every game as an under 17 in 2020, Cade Kennedy was unanimously voted by his peers to lead the 2021 team as their Captain. Originating from the Mitcham Hawks Football Club, our Talent Manager and under 18 coach Paul Streatfield said he couldn’t be happier having Cade leading from the front this year.

‘Cade has been an exceptional member of our club for a long time now. He has continuously shown he is driven and sets great standards for everyone around him. He would have been my choice for captain also so it was great these thoughts were reflected in the voting by his peers’.

Cade will be supported by a leadership group of three. Dylan White has been elevated to a leadership role following a rapid rise in 2020 that saw him play every week last year including a reserves game. Dylan is from the Riverland and the Renmark Football Club.

Luke Young has developed his leadership qualities over the past 12 months and will look to build on a solid 2020 season. Luke is from the Plympton Football Club.

Tyson Coe rounds out the leadership group and has been recognised for the second consecutive year by his peers. From the Colonel Light Gardens Football Club, Tyson was our Under-16 Captain in 2020 and joins this years group as an U17.

Our Under-18 team commence trials next Thursday, 18th February v Woodville-West Torrens as they continue preparations for the season. The match will be played at Thebarton Oval starting at 7:30pm.
