AFLW Draft – Abbie Ballard goes to the Crows
West Adelaide superstar Abbie Ballard has been picked by the Adelaide Crows in the 2021 AFLW Draft!
Abbie was chosen at pick 34.
Living on a farm in Coomandook, Abbie has shown fierce commitment and dedication to her football career, driving 4-hour round trips to attend trainings and games.
At just 19 years old, Abbie has already displayed an impressive career with 38 SANFLW games – the highest number of games played in our Women’s program.
Despite ankle surgery delaying her start to the season, Abbie was at full force once playing again and earned herself the responsibility of captaining our Women’s team in the 2021 SANFL Grand Final.
Abbie played an instrumental role in our Women’s squad and we wish her all the best for her exciting next step with the Adelaide Football Club.
