Madi Russell to Captain Women’s Team for 3rd Consecutive Season

Congratulations to Madi Russell who will captain our women’s team for the 3rd straight season.

Unfortunately early last season Madi ruptured her ACL forcing her to miss the majority of the year. The good news is she’s recovering very well and looking forward to playing a big role in 2024.

She has high praise from all of her teammates and coaches, her ability to show leadership on and off the field is outstanding to not only players and coaches but to members and supporters.

Madi also gets involved with our junior programs as a coach to help improve the football skills of young girls coming through.

Madi will be accompanied by a leadership group which will be announced soon.

Our Women’s season kicks off on Friday March 1 against South Adelaide at Thebarton Oval 7:40pm.
