Throughout the year so far we have been focused on building our on field identity and being a team that competes for 4 quarters although we are disappointed with a loss, it was a great reminder of the areas in which we need to improve as a squad.
Norwood’s ability to put us under high pressure and us not adjusting to the in-close tight game was evident on Friday night. This is something we spoke about after the game and already have gone to work with educating and practice this week.
Although we are disappointed with a loss we still had some aspects of our game and individuals games that would please supporters.
Clayton Gay, is getting better and better each week and is showing us his class and his smarts around goal is going to be a feature for years to come. Hamish Ellem came back to the reserves and was fantastic around the kids with educating and helping them develop.
Michael Ladauto, impressed again with his defensive efforts whether backing back into packs or his relentless attitude to get the footy.
We also saw Darren Walters and Mitch Hahn play there first games for the season.
As a group we have set ourselves to bounce back this week against North Adelaide, we’ve address and focused on the areas of improvement and our young group are determined to get back on the winners list.
As always we appreciate the support from our passionate fans, especially those who made it out to Norwood on Friday night.
It’s a big weekend for the footy club this week and we are excited for the challenge!
Go Bloods!
