North Adelaide hung on for a hard-fought four-point win against Woodville-West Torrens at Maughan Thiem Kia Oval in Round 6 of the AAMI Talent League Boys competition.

Accuracy in front of goal proved pivotal for the Roosters, who had six fewer scoring shots than the wasteful Eagles, who managed 5.12, including four behinds in the fourth quarter.

Roosters midfielder Memphis Webb, the Round 5 Powerade Breakthrough Player, continued his hot form to put his side in front with his third goal midway through the last term.

Teammates Alby Bradshaw and Harry Tamblyn (27 disposals, one goal) were also strong performers in the win while the Eagles recognised Romario Clemente (29 disposals, one goal), Jack Leys (25 disposals, one goal) and Hunter Rowe (19 disposals, one goal).

South Adelaide upset Glenelg by 41 points at Magain Stadium to keep in touch with the top four.

Increasing their lead at every change, the Panthers used the ball well by foot in the testing conditions to take 26 more marks whilst also having seven more inside 50 entries.

Star South trio Cain Florance (20 disposals, four goals), Hudson Boal (27 disposals) and captain Kodah Edwards (25 disposals, one goal) thrived with the slippery Sherrin.

Glenelg ball magnet Harvey Croker refused to give in with 36 disposals, six clearances and seven tackles while receiving solid support from teammates Luca Bordingnon (21 disposals, two goals) and Kobe Gibson (24 disposals).

Central District lifted itself from the bottom of the ladder with a timely 19-point victory against Norwood at X Convenience Oval.

Banking their second win of the season, the Bulldogs controlled the air with 98 marks to 64 while also restricting the Redlegs to just four goals for the evening.

The Dogs’ centre square triple threat of Tony Marrone (34 disposals, eight clearances), Jake Eime (29 disposals) and skipper Jack Gordon (29 disposals) were instrumental in constructing the win.

Norwood’s Archie James impressed again with 19 disposals while teammates Thomas Gribben (21 disposals) and Eddie Sorensen (21 disposals) were also among the best.

West Adelaide’s efficiency in attack was a catalyst in its comfortable 39-point win against Sturt at Thomas Farms Oval.

Despite having 11 fewer inside 50 entries for the match, the Bloods were able to score freely enough as eight players landed on the goal scorers list, headed by Port father-son prospect Percy Burgoyne with three.

West’s Jackson Muller and Andrew Crispe were also lauded by their coaches for performing their roles as teammates Laurence Andriani and Chad Freund racked up 28 possessions each.

Suffering its second loss of the season, Sturt had Jonah Lagana (20 disposals), Evan Davies (23 disposals, one goal) and Will Ekberg (24 disposals, one goal) lead by example.
