The West Adelaide Football Club, along with its Past Players and Officials, mourns the passing of Peter Sims, aged 87.
Wearing number 27, he made his league debut for West Adelaide against Port Adelaide at Alberton on August 8 1959, becoming our 730th representative.
Peter played three seasons with the club from 1959 to 1961, participating in 16 senior games and scoring 26 goals, as well as three reserves games with 11 goals.
He was also part out our unsuccessful 1959 Grand Final team.
That same year, Peter received the Woolley Trophy for most goals in the Association’s Second Eighteen, with 67 goals.
Peter’s contributions to the club are fondly remembered and our thoughts are with his family and friends during this difficult time.
