The West Adelaide Football Club wishes to advise our community and membership that Emma Grigson has tendered her resignation from the Board of Directors effective immediately.
Having served on the board for the past four years, Emma nominated for the role of President in 2024 after three years as Governance Director.
During her tenure on the Board Emma, in her role as Governance Director, has worked on the composition of a number of governance practices and policies. In her capacity as President, Emma has reimagined a number of committees designed to garner broader member engagement and to support the board activities. She also led the club through some significant off field challenges and we commend her for all her efforts through such testing times for WAFC.
We would like to extend our thanks and appreciation to Emma for her efforts during her tenure as a Board Director and President with the Club and wish her the very best in all her future endeavours.
Over the coming months, the Board, with the support of key stakeholders including the SANFL, are dedicated to swiftly advancing the Club’s priorities. Our aim is to continue rebuilding and positioning ourselves for success in the SANFL and the wider community. As we finalise plans for the future, we look forward to working collaboratively with all of you.
In the interim, the Board are looking to finalise a plan moving forward.
