Assistant Coach Ryan Anderson announces he is leaving

The West Adelaide Football Club wishes to announce that Ryan Anderson will be stepping down from his role as Assistant Coach due to family reasons.

Ryan has been a valued member of our coaching team for the past four years. He held several coaching roles including the Men’s Reserves Coach before progressing to Assistant Coach for our Men’s Senior side.

Throughout his time with the club, he has shown exceptional leadership, dedication, and passion for developing our players and fostering a strong team culture. His impact on the playing group and broader club community will be felt for years to come.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Ryan for his tremendous contribution and commitment. We wish him and his family all the best in the future.

Thank you, Ryan. Once a Blood, always a Blood.

“ I’d like to thank the club for allowing me to be part of the program for the last 4 years in various coaching roles. It’s been the best experience of my football journey and I’ve loved every minute of it. I’ll be forever grateful for what the West Adelaide Football Club has given me and will miss being a part of it. The club is in a great position with our playing list, coaching staff and all the people behind the scenes. I have no doubt that long term success is just around the corner.

I can’t wait to be a supporter in the upcoming ‘25 season.” Ryan Anderson

“Ryan has been part of the West Adelaide family for a long time as a player and coach. His impact on those around him has been enormous and we are thankful for his energy, commitment and knowledge that he’s passed on to our players. We hope to see Ryan around the club in the future but we fully understand that his time is needed elsewhere right now, and we wish him, Jenna and the family all the best for the next chapter of their journey.”  Paul Streatfield, Head of Football & Talent
