Welcome Logan Austin

The West Adelaide Football Club is excited to announce the key signing of Logan Austin for season 2025.

Logan is a key defender and has played 20 AFL games, 13 with Port Adelaide FC and 7 with St Kilda. He has spent the last 3 seasons with Bairnsdale Football Club as playing coach, winning their Best & Fairest in 2022 and was a positive force in building a strong culture.

He is now eager to come back to the SANFL and play a role in helping the Bloods get back to playing finals footy.

“I’m super excited to be joining Westies for next season. The bloods are a proud club with a rich history and I’m looking forward to providing experience and leadership both on and off the field to help this young and exciting playing group get back to where this club belongs. I can’t wait to get over and get to know everyone at the footy club from the supporters to the staff” said Logan.

Senior Men’s coach Adam Hartlett is very delighted to have Logan on board – “We are extremely pumped to have someone of the quality of Logan want to come to our club and be a part of our journey.

Logan is a great person and leader and his footballing achievements both as an AFL footballer along with his coaching experience will significantly benefit our group.

We welcome both Logan and his wife Iona to our Bloods family”.

Exceptional ability to take intercept marks, win 1v1 contests and make good decisions by hand and foot, we can’t wait to see Logan wear the red and black in 2025!
