Vale Gregory McBeath Croser

The West Adelaide Football Club & Past Players & Officials, are sad to announce the passing of past player Greg Croser.

Gregory was born on December 22, 1951. He passed away on December 22 2023, aged 72.

Greg played 68 games for Glenelg between 1971 and 1979 featuring in their 1974 and 1975 Grand Finals.

He joined West Adelaide in 1979, player number 935. Greg made his debut in round 10 against Central Districts, at Elizabeth oval aged 28.

He only played one year with the Bloods, then transferred to Canberra club Ainslie coached by Kevin “Cowboy” Neale.

In 1981 Greg played in Ainslie’s losing Grand Final against Manuka. He was awarded best on ground in a dominant display playing at Full Back.
