Our Round 4 fixture we hosted Centrals at Hisense Stadium.
As a team we were non-competitive for most of the first half with Centrals playing their game style well and giving our defenders plenty of work to do. Going into the half time break the score was 1.1 to 10.5.
We re-grouped at half time and while it didn’t convert to the scoreboard only scoring two points to Centrals 3.3 we showed some signs of how we want our game to look with a better standard of effort.
The last quarter we made a few positional changes and stuck to the task well scoring 4.2 to 2.2.
Sam Burbridge competed hard all day in a midfield that was beaten while Charlie Haysman is continuing to improve each week.
In round 5 we play against South Adelaide at Flinders University Stadium which gives us another opportunity for individual and team development with a focus being on the standard of effort required to compete at the level.
Best: Sam Burbridge, Charlie Haysman, Oscar Talbot
Goals: Marcus Pavlic (2), Harley Campbell, Ky Nicholls and Jaden Ward all kicked one each.
