Our Round 10 fixture we hosted Sturt at Hisense Stadium.
We competed well over the 4 quarters and had our fair share of ‘wins’ at the stoppages which gave us some territory. While I thought we competed better aerially, we were unable to get any high percentage shots on goal during the territory wins. Sturt on the other hand did get some clean football going in and got the advantage on the scoreboard for most of the first half.
We had a really good period in the third term with the pressure required on the opposition and converting a couple of opportunities in front of goal which was pleasing. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to sustain the pressure required from late in the third term and Sturt ran away with a comfortable victory.
Judd Hansen enjoyed some time in the midfield. Sam Burbridge was very clean around stoppages and Caleb McCormick played his role well on the wing.
Best: Judd Hansen, Sam Burbridge, Caleb McCormick, Ayden Hodgson and Riley Hill
Goals: Max McKenzie, Marcus Pavlic (2), Noah Baker, Finn McArdle (1)
