Last Friday night saw our Under 16’s play South Adelaide under lights at Hisense Stadium.
Unfortunately, it was not a night to remember for our players as we were outplayed by a fair stronger and skilled South Adelaide side. Poor skill execution and relentless pressure applied by South Adelaide cost us throughout the duration of the game as we continually made fundamental errors giving the ball back to the opposition who then made the most of their opportunities and impacted the scoreboard with nearly every forward movement.
Our Captain continues to be the shining light this season and rarely plays a poor game and provides an excellent example, to the rest of the team to the level of consistency that is expected at the SANFL Under 16’s standard. Ryan finished his work with 29 possessions and 8 clearances to provide good drive from the midfield. On a night with very few highlights our two Under 15’s Lawrence Andriani 29 possession and 13 tackles and Andrew Crispe 19 touches’ and 8 marks where significant contributors in a side where many players did not win their position on the night.
We enter the double bye weekend looking to take stock of the season so far and we will continue to work hard and stay connected in preparation for our return home game against Sturt on June 29.
