SANFLW Match Report – Round 7 vs Central District

It was an extremely disappointing match for our League Team on Saturday. After putting in a solid 4 quarter effort against Norwood the previous week, the girls looked like they were out of it from early on in the 1^st quarter and were never able to gain any momentum back throughout the game.

A lack of awareness and accountability for opposition players meant that Centrals were able to get an early pounce and made it hard for us to get back into the game. There were a lot of contributors on the day, Keeley Kustermann and Lauren Young continued their strong form while Saraid Kustermann showed very pleasing signs. However, there wasn’t enough for us to compete on the day, being beaten in all stat lines across the match.

We welcomed back Lucy Boyd from suspension who was given a new role up forward to replace Nicole Hooper who missed through injury. We also welcomed in Tiana Fernandez for her first league game for 2023 to replace Astrid Powell who went back to Development League.

Our girls are looking forward to a week off before we play the last 5 games of the season away.
