The Club is delighted to announce another debutant this week in Luke Redfern. He becomes player 1450 to represent the West Adelaide Football Club. It is 9th time lucky for Luke as he has been apart of the 25 man squad eight previous times this year and is certainly deserving of his opportunity in the League Side. Luke is a player the Club has been watching closely for a number of years and were delighted to get him to make the move from the Riverina area to West Adelaide for 2021 and beyond. He has been a model of consistency and hasn’t missed a beat and no doubt will add some excitement to the team for tomorrow night.
In other team news, Michael Laudato who came through our Centre Of Excellence program last year has been named on the extended bench for tomorrow night and could also make his debut along side Luke. Michael has shown his class this year, having been selected in the initial SA Under 19 state team earlier this year. He has elite speed, and is a great decision maker with ball in hand as well as a superb kick. He has been playing some good footy in the reserves and will no doubt be ready for League footy should he get his chance.
Harry Lemmey returns to the League side after finishing up with school footy. After having an excellent debut game against Port Adelaide and giving some joy and excitement to our supporters he will look to take off where he left before going back to school footy.
Unfortunately Aaron Anderson (Adductor) and Patrick Fairlie (Ankle) will both miss tomorrow night.
Reserves squad: C.Allan, Babic, Bock, Davidson, Elliot, Faulkner, Fejo, Gore, Heitmann, James, Kelly, Kirk, Lovell, Morrish, Patterson, Rana, Rundle, Sherlock, Sinderberry, R.Stevens, Taverner & Taylor
Antonio James from our Under 18’s squad will play his first game in the Reserves tomorrow night. Good luck Antonio!
