Stevie-Lee Thompson

Midfielder/Forward

West Adelaide is thrilled to welcome back three-time AFLW Premiership player and AFLW All-Australian Stevie-Lee Thompson for the 2026 SANFLW season.

Originally allocated to West Adelaide through the AFLW mini-draft, Thompson made her debut for the Bloods in 2020, playing eight SANFLW games before returning to the Adelaide Crows full-time. Bringing with her more than 85 games of AFLW experience, Stevie-Lee adds class, skill and composure to the group, and is set to be a constant threat through the midfield and forward line.

Her ability to impact contests and hurt opposition teams on the scoreboard will make her a nightmare for defenders, and the club is excited to see her back in the red and black.

Jemima Woods

Key Forward

Adding plenty of x-factor to West Adelaide’s forward line, ex-AFLW player Jemima Woods has joined the club ahead of the 2026 season.

Woods arrives from Victoria after featuring with Geelong’s VFLW side in 2025, and also brings AFLW experience from stints with both the Western Bulldogs and Richmond. A strong marking target with great presence inside 50, Jemima has already impressed throughout preseason and shapes as an exciting addition to the Bloods’ attacking stocks.

The club looks forward to seeing the impact she can have in the red and black this season.

Adrienne Davies

Forward

West Adelaide is also pleased to welcome Adrienne Davies to the club for the 2026 SANFLW season.

Davies joins the Bloods with close to 60 SANFLW games of experience across North Adelaide and Norwood, adding valuable maturity and competitiveness to the forward group. A hard-working and team-first player, Adrienne has already made a strong impression on the program and will help drive high standards both on and off the field.

The club is excited to welcome “AD” to West Adelaide and looks forward to her contribution in 2026.

Sinead Saunders

Wing

Bringing explosive pace and strong leadership qualities, Sinead Saunders has already settled seamlessly into the West Adelaide Football Club.

Joining from Woodville-West Torrens, Saunders made her SANFLW debut in Round 12 and arrives with a reputation for speed, pressure and work rate. A premiership captain at her local club, Port Districts, Sinead’s leadership and competitiveness will be valuable additions to the Bloods.

After a strong preseason, “Shin” is set to make an immediate impact on the wing, with her pace, tackling pressure and ability to drive standards both on and off the field sure to excite West Adelaide supporters in 2026.

Emma Chappill

Ruck

Adding valuable height to the squad, West Adelaide is excited to welcome Emma Chappill to the program for the 2026 season.

Chappill arrives after time at Glenelg and comes highly recommended by new Head Coach Shane Pill, who coached her at Goodwood Saints last season. At 181cm, Emma provides a strong presence in the ruck and offers competitiveness when resting forward, giving the Bloods another key option around the ground.

Her size, work rate and ability to compete in the air are set to cause headaches for opposition teams, and the club looks forward to seeing her impact in the red and black.

Welcome to West Adelaide, Emma!

Alaitz Kelly

Utility

Athletic with an incredibly high work rate, West Adelaide is pleased to welcome Alaitz “Itzy” Kelly to the club for the 2026 season.

Kelly joins the Bloods from Goodwood Saints, where she played her first season of football in South Australia after relocating from Victoria, where she previously represented Eltham. A developing talent with strong athletic traits, Itzy’s willingness to learn and commitment to improvement have already stood out within the program.

With her versatility and determination, Kelly shapes as an exciting prospect and one to watch for years to come.

Welcome to West Adelaide, Itzy!
