Call for Nominations

CALL FOR NOMINATIONS

The West Adelaide Football Club is calling for nominations from suitable applicants for the following committees. The development of the committees are the result of a Board resolution to further engage with members and seek their input and contribution to develop a strategic and sustainable future for the Club as well as increase our member engagement.

Community Engagement

This Committee can have up to seven (7) members, with one position being allocated to the Chair (to be filled by two co-chairs), hence six (6) positions are open .

To be eligible for the Community Engagement Committee, you are required to meet the eligibility criteria outlined below.

• Be a paid member for current season or life member.
• Have no outstanding adverse actions (suspensions, debt with club, etc)
• Demonstrated experience working (or volunteering) in the area of stakeholder relations, consultation and community engagement.
• Willingness to collaborate and participate in teamwork
• Be available to attend meetings
• WWCC and RHAN (or willing to obtain these checks upon selection to committee)

Future Planning / Strategic Committee

This Committee can have up to five (5) members, with one position allocated to the Chair, and another allocated to a finance person (most likely WAFC Finance Director – or be on finance committee as per TOR).

This leaves three (3) positions open for recruitment.

To be eligible for the Future Planning/Strategic Committee, you are required to meet the eligibility criteria outlined below.

• No outstanding adverse actions (suspensions, debt, etc) with club or any affiliated organisations
• Willingness to collaborate/teamwork
• Availability to attend meetings
• WWCC and RHAN (or willing to obtain these checks upon selection to committee)

Demonstrated skills and expertise in:

1. Strategic planning and execution
2. Sustainability and growth
3. Planning and development
4. Agile Project Management

These are all voluntary roles which will require regular attendance at meetings and workshops.
