Saturday wasn’t the way we wanted to finish off the home & away season in-front of our home crowd.
Unfortunately, the result didn’t go our way, but showed our system was right in the way we wanted to play the game we just need to execute it against good sides.
As I said we are disappointed with the result and look to refocus this week and embark on our finals campaign.
We had some strong contributors across the day, Max Marslen was fantastic up forward, competing all day. Paired with the footy smarts of Clayton Gay we looked lively down there at times.
Luke Redfern provided some strong run out of the back half and physicality around the contest.
Bailey Chamberlian was solid on the wing and our young leader in Cade Kennedy set the standard with his desire and want to win a game.
Our focus now shifts to a qualifying final vs North on Saturday. We’ve spoke about the achievement and how proud we should be as a group for making finals. But we also touched on us not just making up the numbers, our ultimate goal is to bring some success to the footy club and we look forward to kicking this off this week.
A big congratulations needs to go out to Logan Hill on his career. The things he has done for this football club will live on for a long time and he has been a constant role modal for the younger boys.
