There were little positives to take out from Saturday as the senior side succumbed to the physicality and intent of the Eagles.
We were convincingly beaten at ground level, defended poorly and made critical and uncharacteristic skill errors.
Isaac Johnson was again good on a wing and has developed nicely into the role as the Club’s interim-Skipper. Callum Park worked tirelessly off half-back to help generate offence. Darcy Minchella had a game high 6-spoils and took a couple of telling contested marks inside our D50. Dyl McCormick showed he is more than capable at the level in his first game of senior football and Sam Frost worked hard inside the contest in his first game back in a new role.
We reviewed heavily on Monday night and understand where we need to improve in order to compete consistently at this level – Contested Work, Effort & Intent, Fundamentals.
We look forward to a great challenge this Sunday vs Sturt.
