WEST ADELAIDE WOMEN’S FOOTBALL CLUB
The West Adelaide Women’s Football Club (WAWFC) play in the SAWFL competition and are an amateur women’s football club. We have two teams competing in the state women’s amateur competition in the Adelaide Footy League. We compete in Division One and Division Three.
We train at City Mazda Stadium and have access to all of the West Adelaide Football Clubs (WAFC) facilities. Our main training night is Tuesday night and we split our second training for Div One and Three.
Generally we recommend you come out for a session to meet the team and see what you think and then talk to the coaching staff to evaluate where you are at with your footy.
In July the SANFL run a junior girls come and try programme commencing in August for girls in the U14 and U16 age bracket. This competition aligns the girls to an SANFL club and the eight teams compete over four weeks. The WAWFC assist the WAFC with this programme by providing senior and state players to coach and role model for young women aspiring to play the game.
West Adelaide Women’s Football team have players of varying skills and experience following a great tradition of female football in South Australia. Check out our player profiles to learn more about the team.
