Shannon Green Announces Retirement

Shannon Green will hang up the boots after 146 games for the Bloods. Green announced at our Best and Fairest awards that he would be playing on 2019 for his 11th league season. Unfortunately after a knee surgery recently and some tough realities about the strength of his knee he has made the decision to call it time.

The 2015 Premiership player received the Roger Luders Medal for most goals kicked in our premiership year, as well as receiving life membership in 2018 and the Presidents Award for displaying all the characteristics we want in a West Adelaide Player.

Shannon’s leadership and courage on and off the field will be greatly missed. We wish him all the best in the future.
