Former Blood Wins Gold at Commonwealth Games

The group of West Adelaide players born in 1997 has proven to be a very talented bunch.

From that group that started in the Under 13s in 2010:-

*Riley Bonner has played in the AFL for Port Adelaide and won the Round 1 Rising Star Award.

*Aaron Francis was a first round draft pick for Essendon, where he has played 5  AFL games.

*Will Snelling has played in the AFL for Port Adelaide and is a WAFC premiership player.

*Matthew Hayball was drafted to Geelong.

*Jack Agostino has played consistent league football for West Adelaide and is part of our leadership group.

*Hugh Haysman  is a WAFC premiership player.

*Kenny Karpany is a league footballer for WAFC.

* Lachie Evans has debuted for West Adelaide this season.

We can proudly announce that former Elite Development Program participant from this age group and Bloods supporter Kurtis Marshall won the Gold Medal for Australia in the Pole Vault at the Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast.
