The under 16 program is well under way. We are four rounds into our season and happy to report that the hard work the group has put in since November 2017 is paying off. We are currently sitting equal top with four wins from our first four games defeating Sturt, Glenelg, Eagles and North Adelaide.

The strength of this group has been their ability to play as a team and understand that they are part of a bigger picture. We have great depth in the squad including real talent from our Riverland and Mallee country zones and a good mix of under 15 players who are pushing the under 16’s to improve each week.

Our leaders, Harvey Bock, Jack Forrest, Eduard Van Den Berg and Lachie De Cesare have been outstanding in demonstrating our on and off field values. Others that have impressed early include Darren Virgo and Bailey Boughen from the Mallee region, Reece Lehmann and under 15 Connor Blackwell both from the Riverland and Michael Laudato from Seaton Ramblers.

Our next game is against Central District at City Mazda Stadium this Saturday. Central District have only lost one match to Norwood, who are also undefeated this season. Our group is looking forward to the challenge we will face in testing ourselves against the best and seeing that our brand of football we are developing will hold up.
