The West Adelaide Football Club would like to inform its members that Hugh Haysman has unfortunately injured his wrist in a basketball accident. He fell awkwardly and has fractured his scaphoid and dislocated the lunate joint which will leave him out of action for 6-9 months.
Hugh is a premiership wingman who was extremely excited to be having a fresh start under coach Gavin Colville and is obviously devastated about the seriousness of his injury.
The recovery will initially be a slow process to regain strength and movement in his wrist. The plaster should be removed at the end of the year and he will start hand therapy soon after. Hugh will be doing a program throughout the preseason and will involve himself with the football club in other ways.
We wish Hugh all the best with his recovery.
