The WAFC would like to express our deepest condolences to Lyndell, Sharon, Karen, Janine, and grand children of the Purser family on the passing of past player Bevan Purser.

Bevan Purser debuted with the club in June 1961, and passed away after a short battle with leukaemia last night aged 74.

Bevans family shared the following kind words “The WAFC held a special place in his heart. His favourite colours are red and black and will adorned by many of his closest friends and family at his service next Thursday 1pm at Partridge House Glenelg. He rarely left the house without his Westies jumper on.”

Bevan, you will be sadly missed by your friends and team mates here at the West Adelaide Football Club. Rest in peace
