West Adelaide’s Taite Silverlock has declared he’s due to take another trademark ”hanger” as he prepares for his 100th Macca’s League match on Saturday.
Dubbed the Human Helicopter after his stunning mark against Glenelg in 2013, Silverlock went on to take similar eye-catching grabs in 2014 and 2015 which ranked in the top three of the SANFL Mark of the Year.
The 26-year-old’s marks in 2013 and 2015 claimed the prestigious award while his pack mark against Sturt in 2014 ranked second.
Speaking on SANFL Radio, the skillful left-footer said he loved to throw his body at the ball if the opportunity presented during a game.
A member of the Bloods’ drought-breaking premiership team in 2015, Silverlock made his Macca’s League debut in Round 20 of 2008 under then coach Andy Collins.
Originally from the South Adelaide zone, Silverlock also spent 2010 and 2011 on Essendon’s rookie-list but was severely hampered by a broken leg suffered in his first season with the Bombers.
